Care

At Glazur, we use natural fabrics such as cotton and linen. These materials are breathable, beautiful, and long-lasting — but they require thoughtful care to preserve their shape, texture, and color over time.

Hand washing (recommended)

Hand washing is the best option for maintaining the quality of your garments, especially for delicate pieces.

  • Fill a sink or basin with cold water
  • Add a natural, biodegradable detergent free of artificial fragrance, bleach, optical brighteners, sulfates, and dioxane
  • Submerge the garment fully in water
  • Gently swirl and lightly squeeze — do not wring or twist
  • Drain and rinse with cold water (skip if using a no-rinse detergent)
  • Gently press out excess water without stretching the fabric

Machine washing

Machine washing is a convenient option when done with care.

  • Wash only when you have a full load to reduce environmental impact
  • Select a cold water setting to prevent shrinking, fading, and fiber damage
  • Use a delicate or gentle cycle for lighter fabrics
  • Choose a high spin setting to remove excess water before drying
  • Use a natural, biodegradable detergent free of harsh chemicals

Drying

  • Air drying is highly recommended to preserve fabric integrity
  • Lay garments flat or hang to dry
  • Avoid tumble drying when possible, as heat can shrink and weaken natural fibers

Additional care tips

  • Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals
  • Wash light and dark colors separately
  • Iron on low to medium heat if needed (especially for linen)
  • Store garments in a cool, dry place
